I kept mistaking today to be Saturday, instead of a Friday.
I blame my very screwed up body clock for it.
I woke up this noon, only to be surprised by the bright light, and how my glasses still sit firmly on my nose. Apparently I had dozed off with my glasses when the episode of CSI had barely went into its introduction.
I woke up to empty my very empty bladder before heading straight back for the bed, and only woke up when it was, gasp, 4pm.
Did a little more lazing.
I think the doctor was right, I am getting old, and I am probably heading for menopause… say, hey, I am already pausing!
Bloatedness, perpetual tiredness, and an incredible fear for crowds and new people.
Dammit.
I got up, and headed out after having a fulfilling meal of home-cooked food!
I got my loots from an online shop and I can’t stop gushing how happy I am, and how satisfied I am with the 2 pieces I have.
Of course, do stay tuned when I got down to camwhoring them.
I actually headed out after putting on foundation, and forgot to bring EVERYTHING else, so it was no surprise I ended up looking like Edward Cullen’s sister, sans the beauty.
And that’s why, I ended up getting myself a christmassy pouch, which matches my bag, which also fits nicely and compactly into my bag!
I don’t know why, but this item is actually making me very perked up and happy.
I suspect it is the cute little zipper that really put a silly smile on my face.
Yes, yes. I am such a kid, I know.
Followed by a whirlwind trip to Toys’R'Us at United Square, where the year-end sale came in handy, though it also spells trouble since I almost wanted to get everything!
I chose Early Learning Centre stuff over Toys R Us, cos basically I adore their stuff to death, and there are a few things I can’t wait to show after I take pictures of Minibean unwrapping them tomorrow!
I had to forsake a doll house, animal farm, kitchen set and Thomas the train set because I really couldn’t decide, but yet time was running short cos we had to rush for a movie thereafter.
I lugged bags and bags of stuff before I thought, “Uh oh, fuck, Christmas is just round the corner…. should I ration the gifts?”
And I am definitely broke. And then the Stemcord bill sits nicely on my table, reminding me of the pain that day in 2006.

Reached Marina Square on the dot and serendipitously bumped into Nadnut and CCB, and I can’t wait to start on the story of how I was so surprised to bump into CCB just on Thursday night after not seeing him for years.
A friend from the past, it was definitely a surprise I didn’t anticipate.
I also bumped into Bernard with his girlfriend who was catching New Moon as well.
I can’t say enough how New Moon is a yawnfest because there is just so little of the vampires we saw, but it probably explains why it was also my least favourite book.
I was pre-empted it was going to be not that nice and draggy, but I was fast to say, “DO I CARE?!?!?!”.
Yes, I didn’t care, and I know how I didn’t like New Moon as much but it is just part of the ritual of how I should be sitting religiously through all the instalments, just because.
There was the whispering and silent gasps when both leads got topless.
And man, I wish Jake will growl at me and speak to me in that low whisper, and his fellow werewolf, OH SIMMER MY PANTIES, when he growled, and grunted…. I TELL YOU…
I love how the men smirked.
But I wish the entrance of the leads were grander, and it would have the ethereal effects to make us all of ooh la la!
Obviously, I became one of those ladies I raised my brows at when I watched Twilight the last time, who gasped and held their chest delicately whenever their heroes appeared.
I didn’t know why, but I do now.
Seriously, I was almost shouting out “JUMP HIM! RIP HIS JEANS OFF!” in the theatre when Jacob was in Bella’s room.
WHAT WAS SHE WAITING FOR?!?!?!?!
Seriously!
But also quite dulan with the movie, because the book New Moon itself also makes me feel quite dulan.
Oh well, maybe I am just jealous of Bella Swan. Giggles.

Saw a terrible accident on my way home after the movie.
But it also made me feel how compassionate Singaporeans can be despite how we always lament how selfish they are.
Some people stopped to help, and the badly mangled white car was taking up an entire lane and causing some traffic disruptions.
The ECP had heavy traffic, but there were some workers from the road works nearby on the scene, who not only used their own barriers to close off the roads so that people can avoid the accident vehicle, but they also helped with the traffic diversion to guide traffic along, which I believe is their own initiatives.
They had everything under control while I saw 2 groups of paramedic squatting down near the railings, possibly attending to 2 very injured people.
The police and EMAS were there, and a few cars and bikes were stopped just in front, possibly stopped to help when they witnessed the accident.
I sincerely hope they made it through and I am very touched by the efforts of the strangers who stopped to help.
In many other countries, including my motherland, people might be too afraid to stop, or those who stopped would have robbed you clean.

What a heavy, heavy end to such a relaxing day.
Tomorrow, is when everything will get incredibly busy.
