After waking up 3 times to pop pills, and the intermittent toilet breaks, I managed to clock 13 hours of rest, hoping it was enough to restart the faulty engine of this old woman.
It was okay, and I was feeling pretty fine, until the fever snuck up again in the afternoon, and bringing along the darn tightness in the head.
Was on a work call this afternoon (yeap, on a Sunday hurhur) and as I spoke… my voice trailed off into a mime, that could potentially made my co-worker think that I had became a man in that instance.
Wasn’t feeling good enough in the evening to attend the wedding dinner, and ended up having an early shower and browse.. and surf… and browse.. and surf… and get myself lusting after more stuff that I shouldn’t be buying… and then yet because I was feeling so light-headed, I felt like those horny men after downing a few beers, and everything looks attractive to them.
EVERYTHING I SAW LOOKS ATTRACTIVE TO ME AND I WANT EVERYTHING!
I was telling a friend how I am not greedy what, all I want is a piece of this, and a piece of that, and just this and that, and I will be done with whatever I want. I don’t want like every colour of a particular model of a particular brand you know, I just want one piece of some brands and that’s it.
And what I am lusting after do not add up to be more than 5 pieces. Say if these are what I hope to get in this lifetime, that means 5-10 years for one piece… not say very whatever right?
Not say very demanding right?!
Okay, nevermind, that is just my mind that is congested (through my nose) talking. It is clouded by gooey mucus.

Valentino is a restaurant that I found via Tripadvisor when I was doing my research for my next trip.
When I stepped into the restaurant, a serious pang of nostalgia hit me.
It looks, smells, feels exactly like the Italian restaurant I went when I was in Rome.
The food was pretty awesome, and most importantly, the quaint, homely setting really did make me think I was in Rome (okay, blame the fever).
It didn’t help the assistant was explaining the menu to me in thick, accented English, mixing his sentences with authentic Italian.
Hot.
Had the usual and one of my favourite Italian dishes – Carpaccio and it certainly did live up to the reviews. Thinly, finely sliced, and it melts in your mouth. Yum. Lovely.
I had a thin-crust pizza and it was great, though these days, I think pizzas should be less decorated so they don’t taste too heavy.
As I sat outside as the restaurant was almost closing, I saw some patrons were still in the eatery making conversations with the staff, and it was a very intimate setting that would make you smile.
Then, the plot of the night was revealed when one of the staff hid behind a partition with a cake in hand, adorned with a single, lit candle.
A van turned in and a couple got off it.
Another staff came out and greeted the two of them, so I assume they are regulars at the restaurant.
Just as the lady stepped in, the staff hiding behind the partition stepped up and surprised her with the cake. Everyone broke into the song we are oh-so familiar, and it was so warm and fuzzy as I looked on from outside the glass window.
Thereafter, another birthday song was sang for a male staff, and the boss snuck up and poured champagne over the birthday boy’s bald head, prompting laughter from everyone.
The staff at the restaurant are helpful and very friendly, and it is a place definitely worth a visit for its authentic, delicious Italian food.

This weekend feels a little too short, maybe cos I was unconscious most of the time to begin with, and when I wasn’t, was rushing through the work for preparation of the coming weeks.
I can’t say I am not jittery.
I can’t say everything will be fine, or it will go on smooth.
I can only keep fingers and toes crossed.
Time to get myself drugged and hope for the best for a hectic Monday.
Was tempted to utilise the MC for tomorrow and Tuesday… but unless I wanna feel suffocated by all the accumulated work stuff, I think it would be wiser for me to haul my ass to the office tomorrow.
Goodnight all!
(I shall resist temptation. I shall resist temptation. I shall resist temptation. One more month to bonus! Woohoo!)
