The wifey

There are many things amazing about my wifey. She is my MSN-a-new-theme love. I choose my theme for my wordpress, and I will wait while the magic takes place.

Which is what I am doing now, as she is resting herself after a hectic night of booze.

You see, since we don’t have that something to benefit each other mutually, the greatest thing we could offer each other is our undying love for the ivory tiles, sitting next to the square, green table, until our spilling lard could go nowhere but the sides.

Sometimes, we would steer away from our usual routine, to spice up our lives… like you know, what people have to do to inject spice into their love lives to keep things going?

With her, this year I did a few things I never did in my life, or at least, in a long, long while. Like watching We Will Rock You, Broadway Beng, placing little bets during Euro, Guitar Hero and Rockbanding, trying out new partners(at the mahjong table) and on 27th July 2008.. I was no longer a virgin to….

…Dance dance revolution!

We had met that day with Potato to do lunch at Cineleisure, and we wandered around the busy Orchard for a while, before decided to catch Prom Night.

10 minutes before our show started, I was dared to go up on the machine.

And then we didn’t know we stayed up there for 20 minutes, eating into the start of the movie. Ahem, we certainly didn’t think we would be that gifted.

As the movie ended, we were clueless where to go until Uncle Keith called to ask her if she wanna head to Zouk for Paul van dyk.

Feeling a little out of the clubbing scene, it took me a while before I decided to head there in my Birkies.

We returned to Effy’s place, before Uncle Keith picked us up, and we ended up at Jos’ place instead. My plans to head to Zouk early, and end the night early obviously didn’t look like it was going to take place(Sunday you know? Need to work the next day!).

On our way to Zouk.

My wifey is camera shy, as usual. We chilled at wine bar, before we headed into the mad crowd which was already building itself at 11.30pm.

Fortunately, we found ourselves comfortably seated at the members’, away from all the jostling and mad-pushing.

Why did we subject ourselves to such abuse?!

The view of the crowd from our seat. We could barely go anywhere, as that would involve tons of squeezing and pushing, and stepping on people’s toes.

Gerald was so proud of his shoes that he wanted me to take a picture of them.

Keith, Jos, and Gerald.

So rude, not my friends!

So gay!

The view of the crowd from the top, and this was barely after the party started.

We weren’t quite satisfied with just bumming on the comfy couch, so we made our way down to squeeze through all these people.

For the first time in my life, I couldn’t squeeze beyond the steps to the dancefloor.

We were just stuck in between of all the actions and human traffic, and had no where to go.

Until.. of course, this tall, dark, cute(in such lights, anyone and everyone can be cute) chap who towered above everyone else, thought we look pretty lost, and asked if we would want to get to the dancefloor.

He suddenly held my hand(oh, be still, my lusty heart), and led the way through the horrible crowd, and as he led us to where we had wanted to be, he asked.

“Are you Thai?”

Nope, Chinese.

“Chinese Chinese?”

Nope, Singaporean Chinese.

“Nice! Prrreeetty!”

Of course, that was all it takes for me to know my trip is all worthwhile. I am in for any sort of cheap thrill,  obviously.

I am not aunty! Yay!

We were just mere metres away from the Man of the Night, and we were busy fighting off limbs that were flying into our faces, and sweaty bodies knocking into ours.

It was 2ish when we finally called it a night.

It was a nice, and different weekend with the wifey.

Finally met up with wifey on Friday night after her return from Bali on Tuesday evening.

It was 3-legged mahjong at hers with Shaun. It didn’t end too late though.

I woke up before noon on Saturday and Sunday, which proves to be a rare achievement.

Everyone is again down with the flu bug, and I dread to think I might be succumbed to it, AGAIN. My body is aching again, and I think I should start some sort of vitamins routine. :(

Brought Minibean out for a day of vanity yesterday, and we headed home in the storm, as she slept soundly in my arms.

Took a long nap this afternoon, and I should be recharged for this week.

And let the countdown, begins.

The reason why I love my wifey?

She embraces my faith, and is a convert! :P

And wifey, we should heed your suggestion, and sit down to do our bucket list, soon. :)
